The Indura Beach & Golf Resort, the first five-star resort in Central America within the Curio Collection by Hilton, is located within the Jeannette Kawas National Park (think mangrove forests, lagoons and peaceful rivers). What’s more, you’re staying directly on the soft sand beach. You arrive by car or shuttle transfer from Toncontín International Airport to the remote Tela region, which takes a two hours. The Tela Marine dive shop is a 15-minute drive away; and the closest local communities, Miami and Tornable, are a 10-minute drive from the resort.
Style and Character

The verdant jungle surroundings provide a soothing wake up call, from the soft chirps of a scarlet macaw to the distant echoes of howler monkeys. Honduran wood was used for all property doors and wardrobes, as well as décor produced by local craftsmen. Eco-conscious initiatives are widespread throughout the property, such as the use of LED light bulbs – meant to reduce CO2 emissions by up to 80 per cent. All of the water waste accumulated is reused using the property’s own treatment system, and and there is a strict policy of no styrofoam and no straws.
Service and Facilities

An avant-garde pool sits in the middle of the foliage like an oasis, just steps away from the beach and an 18-hole Gary Player golf course. There are also a few smaller secluded pools tucked away discreetly in the property’s landscaping, which are usually deserted since most people use the main one. You can hang from a hammock inside the open-air spa or pick a few leaves of lemongrass from the on-site garden to seep in your morning tea.
The service is outstanding, with staff attentive to your needs – expect waiters to approach before you run out of a drink.
